Bishop Noll heads to Chicago for tournament play, while Evansville, Carmel, Columbus and others face out-of-state competition.
Indiana high school hockey teams will spread across four states this weekend, with 14 varsity and JV games scheduled from Friday through Sunday.
The slate includes tournament play for Bishop Noll JV, a two-game road set for Evansville in Cincinnati and several matchups against out-of-state opponents.
Bishop Noll opens play Friday in the Wheels of Fire tournament, hosted by Big Bear in the Chicago area. The Warriors face the Vipers at 4:30 p.m. CT before playing Nashville Flyers and Affton Americans on Saturday. A fourth placement or playoff game is scheduled for Sunday, with the opponent and time determined by tournament results.
Friday night also sends Columbus against St. Xavier (Ohio), Carmel Blue JV against Trinity (Kentucky) in Louisville and Evansville against the Cincinnati Cyclones (Ohio).
Saturday’s Indiana schedule is highlighted by South Stars Red vs. Westfield at 10 a.m. ET at the Pop Weaver Youth Pavilion at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
Evansville and Cincinnati also meet again Saturday morning, while Carmel Blue JV continues its weekend in Louisville and Central Indiana B JV hosts Miami JV at the Fuel Tank at Fishers.
Sunday brings three more scheduled games in addition to Bishop Noll’s tournament finale. Columbus JV faces Louisville Metro JV, Zionsville meets Carmel Gold at Carmel Ice Skadium and Carmel Blue JV gets another matchup with Trinity.
