Three Icemen score in shutout win.
COLUMBUS, Ind. — Columbus got goals from three different skaters and a combined shutout in net Saturday night, knocking off Brebeuf Jesuit 3-0 at Hamilton Community Center & Ice Arena during a friendly pre-season matchup.
The scrimmage helped kick off a community day hosted by Columbus Youth Hockey Association, putting the Braves and Icemen on the ice as part of the festivities.
Nolan Sparkman, Sawyer Patterson and Will Jamerson each found the net for Columbus.
At the other end, Lane Barringer and Emmit Cassidy split time in goal and combined to keep the Braves off the scoreboard.
The matchup gave both programs an early opportunity to get on the ice against outside competition as Indiana’s high school hockey calendar gets underway.
